Level 4 ​Anatomy & Physiology – Hair, Skin & Nails

What you will learn

This online course has been developed to provide learners with knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology systems (Hair, Skin & Nails) that are involved in Laser, IPL & LED treatments.
The body systems covered include: Hair, Skin and Nails, Components of Blood, the Circulatory System, The Lymphatic System, an overview of Immunology, the Endocrine System, Wound Healing and Ageing Skin.
Along with the Core of Knowledge course, this Anatomy & Physiology course underpins all other courses. Completion of this course is an entry requirement for most of the courses offered. 12 months access is provided or until course completion, whichever is sooner.

Level 4 Core of Knowledge for Laser, IPL & LED – Hair & Skin

What you will learn

The Core of Knowledge course follows the Department of Health’s MHRA guidelines on safe use of lasers, IPL, and LEDs in various medical and cosmetic settings. Essential for compliance with local authority and insurer requirements, it’s a foundational course designed for professionals needing flexible, online study. It includes a multiple-choice assessment, a “Risk Assessment” exercise. Accessible for 12 months, the course requires no prior qualifications.
